Moisturize From the Inside Out with LAFACE Hydrating & Purifying Serum

Is it just me, or do a lot of moisturizers all seem the same?  They might look a little different, smell a little different, etc. but generally, for those of us with “normal” skin the end result is pretty much the same.  Sure, our skin may react different for better or worse, but I haven’t really found one to “blow me away.”  Until now. 

I’ve had the pleasure over the past few days to sample Hydrating & Purifying Serum from LAFACE Laboratories.  To call this serum just a “moisturizer” is a little bit of an injustice because it’s so slap-me-in-the-face-fantastic, yet it does do exactly that.  And yes, it also hydrates…10 minutes after applying I was still touching my skin because I didn’t think it had absorbed…how could my skin instantly feel as smooth and soft as it did? 

The science behind this Paraben free line is the answer.  LAFACE HPS is lipid-soluble, meaning the epidermis is the recipient of all of the active ingredients.  The serum also stimulates your skin to produce its own natural moisturizers called glycosaminoglycans, reducing the need for exterior moisturizers.

2 parts Kanon Organic Vodka
4 chunks fresh organic lime
1 slice organic orange
3/4 part simple syrup
2 dashes angostura bitters

Muddle the limes and orange with simple syrup and angostura, add Kanon, shake with ice and strain into a glass.

Stars get “Undone” with Kim Crawford Wines and Miles Aldridge

Stars and other NYC trendy partygoers recently bestowed themselves on Chelsea’s art district for Kim Crawford Wines’ interactive art event with famed fashion photographer Miles Aldridge, simply called “Undone.”  Attending were television presenter and fashion icon Alexa Chung, Mad Men actress Nora Zahetner, reality star Kelly Killoren Bensimon, model sisters Alexandra and Theodora Richards, Paper Magazine’s Mickey Boardman, fashion model Alana Zimmer and Miss Lily’s co-owners Binn and Genc Jakupi.  Upon arriving at Cedar Lake Studios guests discovered the party, disguised as an exhibition showcasing Aldridge’s work, was also the site of Kim Crawford’s summer 2012 ad campaign, shot live by the renowned photographer.  Some stars, like former model Bensimon, were even pulled from the party to be featured in the campaign images.  Stay tuned for the June release to see if she makes the cut!
